An unexpectedly hard shot by Derek Findley in the 3rd minute of play forced Flock of Eagles's goalkeeper Tobias Pilblad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 4 minutes into the match, Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Sabin Mergea came free, but Juvenal Moreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eddie Wittingham might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tobias Pilblad. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eddie Wittingham ran back to his position shaking his head. 10 minutes into the match, Flock of Eagles's goalkeeper Tobias Pilblad had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eddie Wittingham. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eddie Wittingham in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tobias Pilblad prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lisburn Distillery F.C. were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after Flock of Eagles's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Adrian Ruddock took the corner. Juvenal Moreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sabin Mergea, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Olle Sigman struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Juvenal Moreira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Flock of Eagles. 37 minutes into the match, Derek Findley dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tobias Pilblad, 1-0. Juvenal Moreira came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Flock of Eagles's Sabin Mergea. But to his dismay, Sabin Mergea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Tobias Pilblad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Derek Findley in the 44th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Sabin Mergea made the kick off in the second half. Tobias Pilblad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eddie Wittingham, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Eddie Wittingham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute Eddie Wittingham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Pilblad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Neil Deacon hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Flock of Eagles made a substitution. Christoffer Kock replaced Olle Sigman. A collision led to Lisburn Distillery F.C. getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Neil Deacon hit a great ball. 79 minutes into the match, Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s goalkeeper Juvenal Moreira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Osvald Backlund. Tobias Pilblad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Derek Findley in the 83rd minute of the match. Jan-Erik Heggert lost his temper 86 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 87 minutes into the match, Adrian Ruddock notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Flock of Eagles's Tobias Pilblad. Tobias Pilblad was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 97 minutes into the match, Flock of Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Vinnie Talbot came free, but Tobias Pilblad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
