In the 25th minute Sebastian Jayvier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Korneliusz Rasimowicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eugeniusz Poniewaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fernando Arquett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugeniusz Poniewaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Mercado Paulista F.C's goalkeeper Fernando Arquett, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 41 played minutes Ajax Poland got a freekick which was hit by Lucjan Zima. Korneliusz Rasimowicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Jayvier in the 42nd minute of the match. A collision led to Ajax Poland getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Lucjan Zima hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

A wasted opportunity for Mercado Paulista F.C. The referee ignored Ajax Poland's protests and gave Lucjan Zima a yellow card for diving instead. Mercado Paulista F.C's Ermegildo Loramendi was substituted for Telo Estruch.
