C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's Jan-Joost Werner proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save C Ａ R D I N Ａ L from getting a goal against them. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's goalkeeper Jan-Joost Werner, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Isaias Matas might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jan-Joost Werner. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Isaias Matas ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Isaias Matas got free with Jan-Joost Werner in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Michel Hendrickx took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eric Şerbănescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isaias Matas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Jan-Joost Werner made a huge save. Jan-Joost Werner made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Isaias Matas sent off a good shot on target. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mauro Kotlar was slow to take the kick. During this time Olavarria FC's players had a chance to rest. Jan-Joost Werner was out of position in the 27 minute of play, and Isaias Matas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Isaias Matas really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Isaias Matas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Jan-Joost Werner made a huge save. Isaias Matas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jan-Joost Werner read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. If Isaias Matas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's Jan-Joost Werner got control of the ball when Isaias Matas tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 39th match minute, Olavarria FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thys Lenoir to maneuver through the defense. Michel Hendrickx showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cazimir Bărbătescu in the 44th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gavril Bucur to make the kick off. Jan-Joost Werner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaias Matas, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Jan-Joost Werner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaias Matas in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's goalkeeper Jan-Joost Werner, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Isaias Matas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. C Ａ R D I N Ａ L made a substitution. Peppe Mascara replaced Sergiu Panaitescu. 66 minutes into the match, C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's goal looked a bit too open when Isaias Matas came free, but Jan-Joost Werner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 67 played minutes C Ａ R D I N Ａ L got a freekick which was hit by Roland Smolarek. Roland Smolarek hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. 70 minutes into the match, C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's goal looked a bit too open when Arnauld Tombuer came free, but Jan-Joost Werner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olavarria FC's Arnauld Tombuer got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 76th minute, Arnauld Tombuer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jan-Joost Werner was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Gavril Bucur in the 80thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Michel Hendrickx, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jan-Joost Werner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnauld Tombuer, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Arnauld Tombuer took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jan-Joost Werner. Jan-Joost Werner dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Peppe Mascara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Michel Hendrickx made a huge save. Olavarria FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
