Hibai Olano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Classe A Futebol Clube's Sérgio Perez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Classe A Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. Hibai Olano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Ribas in the 23rd minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Sperides's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Vettel came free, but Hibai Olano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sérgio Perez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henning Valler in the 27th minute of play. After some careless play in the Classe A Futebol Clube defense, Pablo-Enrique Lopez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sérgio Perez. The Classe A Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sérgio Perez should have stopped the shot. 31 minutes into the match, Classe A Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Roberto Peto came free, but Sérgio Perez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hibai Olano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Ricciardo in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 39th match minute, Classe A Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Falcão Paraibano to maneuver through the defense. In the 44th minute, Sebastian Vettel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Classe A Futebol Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Sebastian Vettel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Hibai Olano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sperides made a substitution. Polifemo Morales replaced Xaime Fabelo. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lucero Mezquita to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Marcel Desailly hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Ricciardo in the 55th minute of play forced Sperides's goalkeeper Hibai Olano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Peto in the 60th minute of play forced Classe A Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Sérgio Perez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diego Ribas got free with Hibai Olano in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Diego Ribass short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Hibai Olano to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. From close distance Diego Ribas pressed in the 1-4 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 76 minutes into the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Classe A Futebol Clube's Daniel Ricciardo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hibai Olano. That made the score 1-5 after 80 minutes of play. Classe A Futebol Clube's Sérgio Perez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Peto in the 82nd minute of play. Sérgio Perez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henning Valler's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. In the 88th minute Sperides were awarded a corner. Isaac Carballido went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Isaac Carballido almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Classe A Futebol Clube's Sérgio Perez did a great save. If Falcão Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Falcão Paraibano was shown his second yellow card after 98 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Falcão Paraibano hit a great freekick 99 minutes into the match. Isaac Carballido took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 100th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sérgio Perez. Classe A Futebol Clube's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Classe A Futebol Clube walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
