Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benjamin Malvin came out of the goal and Alexander Setzinger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Astor Odon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dionisio Galo, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 30th minute Remigio Vigil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Malvin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Deportivo Jeremías SL booed when Santos de Buenos Aires FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodosio James didn't get a good kick on the ball. Astor Odon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dionisio Galo in the 34th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Santos de Buenos Aires FC's Teodosio James got a free kick in the 70th minute. Deportivo Jeremías SL's Eduardo Sasha was substituted for Remigio Vigil. Astor Odon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Cambiasso in the 76th minute of play. After some careless play in the Santos de Buenos Aires FC defense, Eduardo Sasha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benjamin Malvin. The Santos de Buenos Aires FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benjamin Malvin should have stopped the shot. In the 92nd minute Eduardo Sasha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Malvin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Santos de Buenos Aires FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Eulalio Blai hit a great ball. An unexpected shot in the 97th minute by Teodosio James got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Santos de Buenos Aires FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
