In the 9th minute, Carlinhos Alcântara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Ramos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José San Martín, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chiquinho Alagoano in the 12th minute of play forced SORRISO E. C.'s goalkeeper Carlos Ramos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. C.'s Murilo Prestes got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 41 minutes into the match, Lasse Delvig notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of SORRISO E. C.'s Carlos Ramos. Carlos Ramos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Murilo Prestes to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of SORRISO E. C. booed when ALMA GUERREIRA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frits Frang didn't get a good kick on the ball. SORRISO E. C.'s Ryszard Iwanowski came free and shot a quick shot against goal 55 minutes in the game, fortunately Cauan Carvalho had problems saving as it came toward the left post. SORRISO E. C.'s Carlos Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lasse Delvig in the 56th minute of play. A collision led to SORRISO E. Carlos Ramos was left in no man's land by his defense there! For all the effort they put into the match, the SORRISO E. C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for ALMA GUERREIRA.
