After having played for 3 minutes, Jafta Tshabalala managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ƒ¢ кคгค๔єภเz Ŧıгtıภครı's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jafta Tshabalala was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rupert Dearden charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rupert Dearden the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of ƒ¢ кคгค๔єภเz Ŧıгtıภครı booed when Sagarana Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rupert Dearden didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Jafta Tshabalala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Telesforo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beto Heidemann in the 10th minute of the match. After 12 played minutes ƒ¢ кคгค๔єภเz Ŧıгtıภครı got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Reha Zeren. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jafta Tshabalala in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benedito Trigo saved Sagarana Clube from getting behind. In the 17th minute of the match, Marcelo Salas got a very nice opportunity to score, but Benedito Trigo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 18 minutes into the match, ƒ¢ кคгค๔єภเz Ŧıгtıภครı's goal looked a bit too open when Benê Hoffmann came free, but Julio Telesforo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when ƒ¢ кคгค๔єภเz Ŧıгtıภครı's Ray Hayward in the 19th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Benedito Trigo was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Sagarana Clube through an amazing save. In the 21st minute ƒ¢ кคгค๔єภเz Ŧıгtıภครı were awarded a corner. Taci Hürsev went to the cornerflag to take it. ƒ¢ кคгค๔єภเz Ŧıгtıภครı's Leon Karmel was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Benedito Trigo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. ƒ¢ кคгค๔єภเz Ŧıгtıภครı's Julio Telesforo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafim Barros in the 26th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 27 minutes, Benedito Trigo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Torres in the 35th minute of play forced ƒ¢ кคгค๔єภเz Ŧıгtıภครı's goalkeeper Julio Telesforo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute, Ray Hayward fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Benedito Trigo was a little too slow when Jafta Tshabalala got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 2-0. Jafta Tshabalala's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benedito Trigo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Jafta Tshabalala left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ƒ¢ кคгค๔єภเz Ŧıгtıภครı fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Serafim Barros to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jafta Tshabalala in the 52nd minute of play forced Sagarana Clube's goalkeeper Benedito Trigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 52 minutes into the game, ƒ¢ кคгค๔єภเz Ŧıгtıภครı's Jafta Tshabalala nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benedito Trigo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Julio Telesforo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serafim Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. After 56 minutes of play, Sagarana Clube's Serafim Barros made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Telesforo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Julio Telesforo made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Éder Madureira sent off a good shot on target. 62 minutes into the match, Sagarana Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Jafta Tshabalala came free, but Benedito Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ray Hayward had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 68 minutes into the match, ƒ¢ кคгค๔єภเz Ŧıгtıภครı's goal looked a bit too open when Éder Madureira came free, but Julio Telesforo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ƒ¢ кคгค๔єภเz Ŧıгtıภครı's Julio Telesforo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save ƒ¢ кคгค๔єภเz Ŧıгtıภครı from getting a goal against them. Sagarana Clube's Benedito Trigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jafta Tshabalala in the 71st minute of play. Gabriel Batistuta kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Sagarana Clube made a substitution. Zé Roberto da Costa replaced Beto Heidemann. Sagarana Clube made a substitution. In the 87th match minute, ƒ¢ кคгค๔єภเz Ŧıгtıภครı was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cankut Arslan to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Marco Torres from long distance, 87 minutes into the match, got Julio Telesforo's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Many of Sagarana Clube's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Sagarana Clube may have spent more time on the ball, but ƒ¢ кคгค๔єภเz Ŧıгtıภครı were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
