The audience thought a goal was coming when Cevallos Trevino got free with Cauan Carvalho in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 25th minute José San Martín shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cotera Meca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cotera Meca didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from José San Martín went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Carnot's Cotera Meca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delfim Araújo in the 31st minute of play. 32 minutes into the game, José San Martín cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Cotera Meca was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, ALMA GUERREIRA's Tao Jian Di got a free kick in the 34th minute. Carnot's Cotera Meca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José San Martín in the 36th minute of play. If Lasse Delvig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Carnot's Justavino Acutain got a free kick in the 39th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Delfim Araújo managed to get in a good position for a shot. ALMA GUERREIRA's supporters rose to their feet, but Delfim Araújo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cotera Meca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cotera Meca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delfim Araújo, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. With a little luck, Carnot's Cotera Meca got control of the ball when Wilson da Rocha tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 86 minutes Carnot's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Wilson da Rocha who took care of the corner kick. Frits Frang made a great header on ALMA GUERREIRA's corner, it was just that Carnot's Cotera Meca managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 88th minute of the match ALMA GUERREIRA got a corner. Carnot's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Wilson da Rocha ran over to the corner to take the kick. ALMA GUERREIRA's Wilson da Rocha was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Cotera Meca in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 93rd minute Lasse Delvig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cotera Meca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The ALMA GUERREIRA supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ALMA GUERREIRA would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
