Luís Fábio Rocha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nereo Jurgi having to make a save. When Luís Fábio Rocha came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Los Hijos de Doña Beija fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Fábio Rocha couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Luís Fábio Rocha sped through Alvi Boton's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nereo Jurgi. The tension between the Alvi Boton and the Los Hijos de Doña Beija players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nereo Jurgi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luís Fábio Rocha went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. In the 42nd minute, Anibal Lluciano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nereo Jurgi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Fábio Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Los Hijos de Doña Beija were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 52nd minute, Luís Fábio Rocha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lázaro Vasco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Higinio Aguilera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Albino Brion's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nereo Jurgi was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Hijos de Doña Beija's goalkeeper Higinio Aguilera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Indiana Joness short, quick shot in the 93rdth minute got Nereo Jurgi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Los Hijos de Doña Beija booed when Alvi Boton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saverio Argenis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nereo Jurgi was a little too slow when Indiana Jones got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 95th minute. The score was now 1-5. When the match was over Los Hijos de Doña Beija could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Alvi Boton throughout the match.
