Bengt Apelquist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 12 played minutes Guiñazú FC got a freekick which was hit by Vladimiro Millan. Armando Monico was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Armando Monico was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Peder Sarstedt showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 46 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ali Modrić made a kick off. Despite this Armando Monico quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 82nd minute, Arvid Olsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Armando Monico was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. After a defensive mix-up in Guiñazú FC's zone, Patrik Heggert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armando Monico came out of the goal and Patrik Heggert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Peder Sarstedt put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Armando Monico. After a rather tough play, Huvudstaden's Arvid Olsson got a free kick in the 91st minute. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Huvudstaden's goalkeeper Bengt Apelquist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Guiñazú FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Huvudstaden.
