An unexpectedly hard shot by Baladi Ribalta in the 29th minute of play forced Puerto de Sagunto CF's goalkeeper Gong Yong Nan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Puerto de Sagunto CF getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Richmond Van Glabeeke hit a great ball. Christoffer Blomqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Gong Yong Nan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, MILLONARIOS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Matia Climent came free, but Angelo Prior reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco José Millán in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Angelo Prior saved MILLONARIOS FC from getting behind. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christoffer Blomqvist to make the kick off. Angelo Prior took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richmond Van Glabeeke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A well done corner resulted in Federico Errazquin drilling the ball in to score 1-4 behind Puerto de Sagunto CF's goalkeeper. After 81 played minutes Puerto de Sagunto CF got a freekick which was hit by Lawrence Manrique. Angelo Prior made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matia Climent in the 83rd minute of play. Jozef Kloots could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Gong Yong Nan made a huge save. The supporters of MILLONARIOS FC booed when Puerto de Sagunto CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Doroteo Astudillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Richmond Van Glabeeke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 97th minute, Tommy Galle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Puerto de Sagunto CF supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching MILLONARIOS FC's performance. The match ended with a win for MILLONARIOS FC.
