A beautiful save bye Decathlon Dudes's goalie prevented a goal. Frank Pearce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrik Larsson in the 12th minute of play. In the 23rd minute Anthon Melin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Pearce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bartlomiej Niedzwiecki got free with Tadej Pogačar in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 26 minutes into the match, Manchester City's goal looked a bit too open when Anthon Melin came free, but Frank Pearce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Manchester City defense, Anthon Melin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Frank Pearce. The Manchester City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Frank Pearce should have stopped the shot. 30 minutes into the match, Manchester City's goal looked a bit too open when Karsten Schoonderwoerd came free, but Frank Pearce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bartlomiej Niedzwiecki hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. If Karsten Schoonderwoerd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrik Larsson in the 34th minute of play forced Manchester City's goalkeeper Frank Pearce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the game, Anthon Melin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Decathlon Dudes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manchester City the free kick. Anthon Melin hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Decathlon Dudes's Tadej Pogačar got control of the ball when Bartlomiej Niedzwiecki tried to sneak it across the goal line. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by Decathlon Dudes's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Geoffrey De Bougne was slow to take the kick. During this time Manchester City's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Julian Orling almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Decathlon Dudes's Tadej Pogačar did a great save. Manchester City's Frank Pearce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrik Larsson in the 43rd minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bartlomiej Niedzwiecki made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Henrik Larsson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Frank Pearce. The goal made the score 0-2. When Henrik Larsson came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Decathlon Dudes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henrik Larsson couldn't finish the play. Manchester City made a substitution. Anthony Carey replaced Bartlomiej Niedzwiecki. Manchester City's Tommy Bedford was substituted for Dan Saville. Frank Pearce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marinus Doren, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. 64 minutes into the match, Manchester City's goalkeeper Frank Pearce had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Henrik Larsson. Decathlon Dudes were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after Manchester City's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Costin Moisil took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Costin Moisil got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Frank Pearce quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Anthon Melin hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Anthony Carey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Karsten Schoonderwoerd blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Frank Pearce having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Decathlon Dudes's Dylan van Baarle got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 88th minute Decathlon Dudes were awarded a corner. Costin Moisil went to the cornerflag to take it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mauro Mendebal in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frank Pearce prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 90 minutes in the game, Henrik Larsson fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Frank Pearce having to interfere. 94 minutes into the game, one of Manchester City:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The Manchester City supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Decathlon Dudes's performance. The match ended with a win for Decathlon Dudes.
