Ali Nejat Özsungur had several of the PoznanGalaxy's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 5 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Henning Heringer as he didn't even see the shot coming. Anselmo Jaen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henning Heringer having to interfere. Rafa Figueiredo hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Henning Heringer made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Simen Figenschou sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ali Nejat Özsungur in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Henning Heringer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Henning Heringer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fredrik Aalvik in the 25th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by 巩翔傲 in the 32nd minute of play forced team pollen's goalkeeper Durvalino Borges to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ali Nejat Özsungur's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Henning Heringer skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 巩翔傲 scored 1-1 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Durvalino Borges, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Anselmo Jaen's late challenge caught a PoznanGalaxy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anselmo Jaen helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of PoznanGalaxy booed when team pollen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Jaen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Durvalino Borges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oalo Kara in the 45th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 51st minute Fredrik Aalvik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henning Heringer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ali Nejat Özsungur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, PoznanGalaxy's Durvalino Borges threw himself towards the right post 60 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Peter Grommers, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Henning Heringer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ali Nejat Özsungur went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 66th minute Jochen Göring shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Durvalino Borges saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jochen Göring blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Durvalino Borges having to make a save. Fredrik Aalvik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
