Newpi Academy were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after Carloforte f.c.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Antonio Perrando took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Eulalio Otsando heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Cornelio Guerrero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Waclaw Zajonc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Waclaw Zajonc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tonete in the 18th minute of the match. In the 20thth minute of the game Alberto Tonete who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carloforte f.c.'s Waclaw Zajonc was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Carloforte f.c.'s Waclaw Zajonc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tonete in the 21st minute of play. In the 30th minute Dobromir Adamowicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vlado Delchev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Lennart Härm could shoot a difficult shot in the 39th minute, which Vlado Delchev however easily saved by the left post. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Alberto Tonete's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Waclaw Zajonc read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. In the 51st minute, Alberto Tonete ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Waclaw Zajonc was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Waclaw Zajonc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonio Perrando, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Newpi Academy's Vlado Delchev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ettore Brunetta in the 56th minute of play. In the 61st minute Alberto Tonete shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waclaw Zajonc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Newpi Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Lennart Härm came free, but Vlado Delchev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carloforte f.c.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dobromir Adamowicz in the 63rd minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Newpi Academy's goalie and right to Arrigo Guidoni. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Newpi Academy's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carloforte f.c.'s goalkeeper Waclaw Zajonc, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dobromir Adamowicz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Waclaw Zajonc made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gavino Lauren in the 94th minute.
