With an all-out effort, Deportivo Kadorna's Pepe Toxeiro threw himself towards the right post 20 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Melchor Tome, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Melchor Tome in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pepe Toxeiro saved Real Club Celta de Vigo from getting behind. Joel Cristofor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renato Tapia in the 26th minute of play. A collision led to Deportivo Kadorna getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Horacio Petrigai hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melchor Tome in the 29th minute of play forced Real Club Celta de Vigo's goalkeeper Pepe Toxeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Renato Tapia scored 0-1 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joel Cristofor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 36th minute Bryan Hodgson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pepe Toxeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40thth minute of the game Norberto Tiadoro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Real Club Celta de Vigo's Pepe Toxeiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Real Club Celta de Vigo getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Ferman Torres hit a great ball. Pepe Toxeiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Melchor Tome in the 44th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Kadorna's zone, Renato Tapia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel Cristofor came out of the goal and Renato Tapia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 47 minutes of play, Real Club Celta de Vigo's Renato Tapia made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joel Cristofor was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Melchor Tome stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pepe Toxeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norberto Tiadoro in the 52nd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Bryan Hodgson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pepe Toxeiro. Real Club Celta de Vigo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bryan Hodgson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Bryan Hodgson managed to get in a good position for a shot.
