In the 6th minute, Eriberto Cefero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Maverick Futebol Clube's Reynaldo Neves got a free kick in the 9th minute. After 10 played minutes Maverick Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Deivid Goiano. DESTROY's Silverio Gonsalve played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wit Chuchro in the 12th minute of play. After 13 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for DESTROY! In the 14th minute there was a penalty for Maverick Futebol Clube. Deivid Goiano stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Silverio Gonsalve. 0-1. A collision led to Maverick Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Deivid Goiano hit a great ball. Fritz Salgado's late challenge caught a DESTROY's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fritz Salgado helped the player get up and apologised. Edinho Paraíba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jay-Jay West, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. DESTROY's Silverio Gonsalve played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wit Chuchro in the 23rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Jay-Jay West's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edinho Paraíba was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Silverio Gonsalve made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wit Chuchro in the 39th minute of play. Maverick Futebol Clube's Reynaldo Neves got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jay-Jay West stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Fritz Salgado threw the ball into play from the sideline. DESTROY's Placido Orlandus quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 55 minutes into the match, Maverick Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Jay-Jay West came free, but Edinho Paraíba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jay-Jay West took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edinho Paraíba. Edinho Paraíba dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Maverick Futebol Clube were awarded a corner in the 63th minute after DESTROY's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Deivid Goiano took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Deivid Goiano got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Silverio Gonsalve quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, DESTROY's Jay-Jay West got a free kick in the 69th minute. 78 minutes into the game, Miguel Arotza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. DESTROY's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maverick Futebol Clube the free kick. In the 78th match minute, DESTROY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Arotza to maneuver through the defense. Reynaldo Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silverio Gonsalve having to interfere. After 85 minutes, Jay-Jay West mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DESTROY and the Maverick Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, DESTROY's Jay-Jay West got a free kick in the 85th minute. With a little luck, DESTROY's Silverio Gonsalve got control of the ball when Wit Chuchro tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Maverick Futebol Clube defense, Jay-Jay West kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edinho Paraíba. The Maverick Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edinho Paraíba should have stopped the shot. DESTROY's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
