The audience was convinced that Fábio Messias's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nebojša Jerić was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Neno Gudelj made a kick off. Despite this Nebojša Jerić quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Damian Diegotxe in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nebojša Jerić prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 2-0 became the score in the 74th minute when Pompiliu Bacalbașa elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 78th match minute, £øs ρєłαdєirøs ®™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charles Tunström to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th minute of the match Pompiliu Bacalbașa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Iwan Banaszak showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Damian Diegotxe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damian Diegotxe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nebojša Jerić read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play.
