Güney Özboga hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. The supporters of Apricis Bruxella booed when Sao Paulo Leste FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edvard Gråberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emerson Leão made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Coronel Camba sent off a good shot on target. 31 minutes into the match, Sao Paulo Leste FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wolf De Hond came free, but Emerson Leão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 32 played minutes Sao Paulo Leste FC got a freekick which was hit by Edvard Gråberg. 34 minutes into the game, Armand Steenberghs recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Emerson Leão. Armand Steenberghs showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. Emerson Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wolf De Hond in the 38th minute of play. When Apricis Bruxella's Armand Steenberghs in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sao Paulo Leste FC's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Apricis Bruxella's Gencer Korkutalp got a free kick in the 47th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edvard Gråberg was the one to do the kick off. In the 50th match minute, Sao Paulo Leste FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edvard Gråberg to maneuver through the defense. Wolf De Hond fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emerson Leão having to interfere. Laurence Van Den Abeele showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edvard Gråberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Gildo Donatello's late challenge caught a Apricis Bruxella's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gildo Donatello helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Sao Paulo Leste FC's Gildo Donatello got a free kick in the 63rd minute. In the 64th minute, Gildo Donatello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emerson Leão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armand Steenberghs, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Coronel Camba in the 72nd minute of play forced Sao Paulo Leste FC's goalkeeper Emerson Leão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stanislaw Turacki hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After 75 played minutes, Apricis Bruxella's Gencer Korkutalp shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Emerson Leão came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Apricis Bruxella reached it. 77 minutes into the match, Sao Paulo Leste FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wolf De Hond came free, but Emerson Leão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emerson Leão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armand Steenberghs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emerson Leão came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Apricis Bruxella's Wolf De Hond. But to his dismay, Wolf De Hond quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Emerson Leão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wolf De Hond, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 87 minutes into the game, Sao Paulo Leste FC's David Coutinho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Apricis Bruxella's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
