Moises Francho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ermegildo Fazzini in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, La Coruña FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tobías Rocuant came free, but Moises Francho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tobías Quilempan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elari Eesti, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Moises Francho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tobías Rocuant, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Club Deportes La Serena getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Mirco Milbradt hit a great ball. In the 28th minute, Elari Eesti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 33 minutes into the match, La Coruña FC's goal looked a bit too open when Said Hamed came free, but Moises Francho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of La Coruña FC booed when Club Deportes La Serena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Said Hamed didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute, Said Hamed left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Deportes La Serena fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

But to his dismay, Edgardo Garzo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Moises Francho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo Ayorecha in the 92nd minute of play. After 93 played minutes Club Deportes La Serena got a freekick which was hit by Said Hamed. After some careless play in the La Coruña FC defense, Edgardo Garzo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Moises Francho. The La Coruña FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Moises Francho should have stopped the shot.
