José Alejandro Seisdedos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Rojas in the 16th minute of play. A collision led to Caaguazu getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Diegotxe Foubelo hit a great ball. Diegotxe Foubelo kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Casado Verastegui showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tobías Rocuant in the 22nd minute of the match. Club Deportes La Serena's Ermegildo Fazzini got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 26 minutes of play, Club Deportes La Serena's Said Hamed made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Casado Verastegui was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 28th match minute, Club Deportes La Serena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Soso Cheishvili to maneuver through the defense. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kismi Sierralta was the one to do the kick off. Casado Verastegui was left in no man's land by his defense there! Club Deportes La Serena's Edgardo Garzo was substituted for Soso Cheishvili. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Caaguazu's goalkeeper Casado Verastegui, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 89th minute of the match Club Deportes La Serena got a corner. Caaguazu's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ermegildo Fazzini ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Club Deportes La Serena's Ermegildo Fazzini to fire away a dangerous shot which Casado Verastegui despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Caaguazu's Casado Verastegui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remco van den Bergh in the 93rd minute of play. Club Deportes La Serena were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Caaguazu for a fine match.
