Iustin Bâru in the 15thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Danilo Olayo's late challenge caught a Go Ahead Eagles's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Danilo Olayo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 29th minute, Cássio Gonçalves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 1-0 became the score in the 33rd minute when Fernando Amorebieta elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Amorebieta in the 36th minute of play forced Arquímedes's goalkeeper Jeremias Cordario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Scarafia Ghost made an important save on a dangerous shot by Domingo Librado in the 63rd minute. 64 minutes into the match, Arquímedes's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Amorebieta came free, but Jeremias Cordario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Fernando Amorebieta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jeremias Cordario was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Arquímedes defense, Fernando Amorebieta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jeremias Cordario. The Arquímedes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jeremias Cordario should have stopped the shot. In the 92nd minute, Dani Carbajal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Go Ahead Eagles booed when Arquímedes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boleslaw Jestrimski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeremias Cordario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erling Lewandowski in the 94th minute of play. Arquímedes's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
