The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Romário de Lara might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dinei Pinheiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Romário de Lara ran back to his position shaking his head. After 7 minutes Mota 2017's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Niilo Mikkola who took care of the corner kick. Dinei Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roger Couto, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. SeleSantos FC's Dinei Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roger Couto in the 11th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Jacobo Casado managed to get in a good position for a shot. SeleSantos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacobo Casado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Torgeir Phan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dinei Pinheiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romário de Lara in the 18th minute of play. After 18 played minutes, Mota 2017's Maicon Fonseca shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dinei Pinheiro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mota 2017 reached it. 20 minutes into the match, Mota 2017's goal looked a bit too open when Jacobo Casado came free, but Torgeir Phan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vânderson de Moraes during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 21 played minutes SeleSantos FC got a freekick which was hit by Vânderson de Moraes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roger Couto in the 22nd minute of play forced SeleSantos FC's goalkeeper Dinei Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the match, SeleSantos FC's Leif Törnqvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Torgeir Phan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Sebastião Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastião Nascimento in the 30th minute of play forced SeleSantos FC's goalkeeper Dinei Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roger Couto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sebastião Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dinei Pinheiro having to interfere. When SeleSantos FC's Leif Törnqvist in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Niilo Mikkola to make the kick off. Mota 2017's Torgeir Phan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niilo Mikkola in the 53rd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, SeleSantos FC's goalkeeper Dinei Pinheiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sebastião Nascimento. Mota 2017's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Léo Lopes in the 55th minute. Roger Couto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dinei Pinheiro having to interfere. A hard shot 66 in the game by Roger Couto from a close distance when the talented Dinei Pinheiro managed to make a qualified save. SeleSantos FC's players were relieved. Mota 2017 were awarded a corner in the 68th minute after SeleSantos FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dedé Cardoso took the corner. Dinei Pinheiro was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Dedé Cardoso. When Jacobo Casado came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the SeleSantos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacobo Casado couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd minute, Vânderson de Moraes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Mota 2017's Roger Couto in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Sebastião Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mota 2017's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastião Nascimento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dinei Pinheiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mota 2017 succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though SeleSantos FC had controlled the match.
