Modlau's Lew Yashin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 于竞斐 in the 8th minute of play. In the 11th minute Artur Adamski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cauã Lopes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barry McCray in the 17th minute of play forced 11 Schéin Männer's goalkeeper Cauã Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of 11 Schéin Männer booed when Modlau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ortle Sancho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcus Pfannmöller struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Lew Yashin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 11 Schéin Männer. Cauã Lopes made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Ortle Sancho sent off a good shot on target. In the 28th minute of the match Modlau got a corner. 11 Schéin Männer's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Artur Adamski ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Artur Adamski got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cauã Lopes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Cauã Lopes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artur Adamski in the 34th minute of the match. After the first half 11 Schéin Männer were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell 于竞斐 to make the kick off. Cauã Lopes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artur Adamski, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lew Yashin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that 于竞斐's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lew Yashin was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Artur Adamski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cauã Lopes having to make a save. Leo Friedl hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. 87 minutes in the game, 于竞斐 fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Lew Yashin having to interfere. Lew Yashin made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when 于竞斐 sent off a good shot on target.
