After a defensive mix-up in Independente AC's zone, Måns Sandberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aloísio Sergipano came out of the goal and Måns Sandberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 17 minutes into the match, Norrlands Athen's goal looked a bit too open when Camillo Sciarretta came free, but Manfred Fribäck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Norrlands Athen's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Filcho Slivkov in the 20th minute. Manfred Fribäck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kamber Aktaş, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. 26 minutes into the match, Norrlands Athen's goal looked a bit too open when Camillo Sciarretta came free, but Manfred Fribäck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andrew Tate to make the kick off. Norrlands Athen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filcho Slivkov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 84th minute, Filcho Slivkov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th minute Silvinho Corrêa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manfred Fribäck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manfred Fribäck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvinho Corrêa in the 85th minute of the match. Norrlands Athen's Manfred Fribäck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastiaan Dijkman in the 97th minute of play. Independente AC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
