Stuart Armstrong might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nuno Pais. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stuart Armstrong ran back to his position shaking his head. DPD FC's Nuno Pais proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save DPD FC from getting a goal against them. A sloppy throw-in by João Pessoa in the 10th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by KP Brzeg Dolny's Izydor Pyczkowski. DPD FC's Nuno Pais played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radomir Zdrojowy in the 13th minute of play. Stuart Armstrong blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nuno Pais having to make a save. João Pessoa got a throw-in 18 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Vítor Torres. 19 minutes into the match, KP Brzeg Dolny's goal looked a bit too open when Jairo Setúbal came free, but Antoni Piesciuk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th match minute, KP Brzeg Dolny was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wiktor Kilian to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stuart Armstrong in the 26th minute of play forced DPD FC's goalkeeper Nuno Pais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stuart Armstrong was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 29th minute. KP Brzeg Dolny's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Stuart Armstrong blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nuno Pais having to make a save. A throw-in in the 31st minute of the game was made by João Pessoa with Vítor Torres as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 34 minutes into the match, Stuart Armstrong dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nuno Pais, 1-0. In the 37th minute, DPD FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Stuart Armstrong fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Nuno Pais took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stuart Armstrong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. João Pessoa made in the 42nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Vítor Torres. Wiktor Kilian hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stuart Armstrong in the 46th minute of play forced DPD FC's goalkeeper Nuno Pais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stuart Armstrong was the one to do the kick off. Nuno Pais showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stuart Armstrong in the 51st minute of the match. Nuno Pais came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by KP Brzeg Dolny's Stuart Armstrong. But to his dismay, Stuart Armstrong quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Stuart Armstrong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nuno Pais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stuart Armstrong in the 56th minute of play. Nuno Pais took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anacleto Aceituno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stuart Armstrong in the 59th minute of play forced DPD FC's goalkeeper Nuno Pais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Stuart Armstrong managed to get in a good position for a shot. KP Brzeg Dolny's supporters rose to their feet, but Stuart Armstrong was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nuno Pais breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stuart Armstrong fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Pais having to interfere. Nuno Pais showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stuart Armstrong, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 71st minute, Stuart Armstrong made a precise shot to the right of Nuno Pais. DPD FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Higino Lameiras recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 76th match minute, DPD FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vítor Torres to maneuver through the defense. Stuart Armstrong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 82nd minute, Stuart Armstrong ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nuno Pais was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Stuart Armstrong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Higino Lameiras kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Radomir Zdrojowy managed to get in a good position for a shot. KP Brzeg Dolny's supporters rose to their feet, but Radomir Zdrojowy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nuno Pais breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. KP Brzeg Dolny's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
