A sloppy throw-in by Wilfredo Cordarrell in the 42nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Uno Mille FC's Agostinho Gonçalves. Daniel Brun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Brun was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Unión y Progreso Tandil getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Cícero Moura hit a great ball. Luizinho Vidal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Fernando Alvarenga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Carlos Fernando Alvarenga was out of position in the 67 minute of play, and Saturnino Bertran capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Saturnino Bertran really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Edgard Elixio put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Carlos Fernando Alvarenga. Unión y Progreso Tandil's Zeledon Bermudo was substituted for Edgard Elixio. In the 76th minute, Giuseppe Bueno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 83rd play minutes Zeledon Bermudo shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Carlos Fernando Alvarenga and just under the crossbar into goal. Carlos Fernando Alvarenga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Urtungo in the 90th minute of play. Unión y Progreso Tandil played a much better game than Uno Mille FC and deserved their victory. The Uno Mille FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
