With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chiquinho Pombal in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christer Forsberg saved Pepsi FC from getting behind. The Abutres 2003 FDP fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when Abutres 2003 FDP's Luiz Fabiano Vidal looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 13 minutes into the match, Luiz Fabiano Vidal notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Pepsi FC's Christer Forsberg. Christer Forsberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 19th minute Qi Sha Zhen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Figlewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Allan Hedman kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After 25 played minutes Pepsi FC got a freekick which was hit by Károly Csorba. Christer Forsberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fabiano Vidal in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Yahya Burçak in the 38th minute of play forced Pepsi FC's goalkeeper Christer Forsberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christer Forsberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldinho Vergílio in the 39th minute of the match. Christer Forsberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Yahya Burçak in the 40th minute of play. Christer Forsberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ahmet Yahya Burçak's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. After 45 minutes of play, Pepsi FC's Qi Sha Zhen made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jan Figlewski was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Luiz Fabiano Vidal made the kick off in the second half. If Luiz Fabiano Vidal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christer Forsberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raphael Paraense in the 58th minute. Christer Forsberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chiquinho Pombal in the 59th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldinho Vergílio in the 61st minute of play forced Pepsi FC's goalkeeper Christer Forsberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With 64 minutes on the clock, Allan Hedman commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 66th minute there was a penalty for Abutres 2003 FDP. Luiz Fabiano Vidal stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Christer Forsberg. 1-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Chiquinho Pombal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Abutres 2003 FDP's supporters rose to their feet, but Chiquinho Pombal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christer Forsberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raphael Paraense got free with Christer Forsberg in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Abutres 2003 FDP booed when Pepsi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andréas Stigsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andréas Stigsson charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andréas Stigsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Abutres 2003 FDP booed when Pepsi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andréas Stigsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luiz Fabiano Vidal took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 82nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Christer Forsberg. Pepsi FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Christer Forsberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chiquinho Pombal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abutres 2003 FDP's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luiz Fabiano Vidal in the 85th minute. Luiz Fabiano Vidal made a great header on Abutres 2003 FDP's corner, it was just that Pepsi FC's Christer Forsberg managed to reach the ball for a save. After a defensive mix-up in Pepsi FC's zone, Luiz Fabiano Vidal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Abutres 2003 FDP had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
