After 2 minutes of play, Bondeträsk FC's Sven-Erik Mattsson made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcelo Lomba was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 5 played minutes Esporte Club Bahia got a freekick which was hit by Yuri de Souza. After having played for 6 minutes, Oscar Haraldsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bondeträsk FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oscar Haraldsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 9th minute Rikard Nyqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Lomba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 0-2 became the score in the 13th minute when Lars Stenström elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Rikard Nyqvist came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Bondeträsk FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rikard Nyqvist couldn't finish the play. In the 21st minute of the match Tiago Xavier shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leo Björling showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Marcelo Lomba didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lars Stenström went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lars Stenström in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelo Lomba saved Esporte Club Bahia from getting behind. Leo Björling showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiago Xavier, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Marcelo Lomba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rikard Nyqvist in the 32nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Gary Anderson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bondeträsk FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gary Anderson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelo Lomba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcelo Lomba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lars Stenström's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Esporte Club Bahia's goal looked a bit too open when Rikard Nyqvist came free, but Marcelo Lomba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilberto Quadros didn't get a good kick on the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Esporte Club Bahia's goal looked a bit too open when Rikard Nyqvist came free, but Marcelo Lomba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Bondeträsk FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Gustavo Paes came free, but Leo Björling reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
Tiago Xavier kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oscar Haraldsson got free with Marcelo Lomba in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rikard Nyqvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcelo Lomba read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Stenström in the 68th minute of play forced Esporte Club Bahia's goalkeeper Marcelo Lomba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leo Björling took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Gustavo Paes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The tension between the Bondeträsk FC and the Esporte Club Bahia players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 94th minute, Lars Stenström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leo Björling stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tiago Xavier's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. Bondeträsk FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
