Spectators: 147 (Terracing: 111, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 2) MDS Soccer Club's Giovanni de Sousa started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Milosz Solecki kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. In the 5th match minute, AVAÍ F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Innocenzio Corales to maneuver through the defense. Fernando Jacinto hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Zheng Di Xi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walmyr Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, AVAÍ F.C.'s Jailson Teles got control of the ball when Ruy Duarte tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Dario Alegría had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Almir Matos scored 0-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zheng Di Xi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. MDS Soccer Club's Zheng Di Xi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Almir Matos in the 26th minute of play. Jailson Teles didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 28th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. AVAÍ F.C.'s Jailson Teles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save AVAÍ F.C. from getting a goal against them. Walmyr Salles scored 1-2 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zheng Di Xi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Zheng Di Xi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Almir Matos, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute, Walmyr Salles ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zheng Di Xi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Giovanni de Sousa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

MDS Soccer Club made a substitution. Lukasz Gmoch replaced Giovanni de Sousa. José Maria Mineiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jailson Teles having to interfere. Almir Matos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Zheng Di Xi came out and tried to block the shot, but Almir Matos slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 59th minute. Zheng Di Xi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walmyr Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 71 played minutes MDS Soccer Club got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Jacinto. After a rather tough play, MDS Soccer Club's Fernando Jacinto got a free kick in the 72nd minute. MDS Soccer Club's Zheng Di Xi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias Figueroa in the 73rd minute of play. The corner led AVAÍ F.C.'s Elias Figueroa to fire away a dangerous shot which Zheng Di Xi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The attack was good, but when Walmyr Salles in the 74th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Erivaldo Severo kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. AVAÍ F.C.'s Luizão Dantas was substituted for Dario Alegría. The supporters of AVAÍ F.C. booed when MDS Soccer Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erivaldo Severo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th minute, MDS Soccer Club's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Walmyr Salles fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Zheng Di Xi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Almir Matos in the 87th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Almir Matos notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of MDS Soccer Club's Zheng Di Xi. Zheng Di Xi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. MDS Soccer Club's Ruy Duarte suffered a concussion after 92 minutes and had to leave the field. If Lukasz Gmoch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manfredo Gerber's late challenge caught a MDS Soccer Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manfredo Gerber helped the player get up and apologised. Manfredo Gerber hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The MDS Soccer Club fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. AVAÍ F.C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
