Şemsettin Tuyuğ took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adriano Leite, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 12 minutes into the match, Corti's goalkeeper Ulisses Souza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aykut Nadi. In the 18th minute, Ömer Demirci left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KOCAELİSPOR fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After 20 played minutes Corti got a freekick which was hit by Edmílson Gaspar. Şemsettin Tuyuğ took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adriano Leite, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Corti's Ulisses Souza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Corti from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the KOCAELİSPOR defense, Adriano Leite kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Şemsettin Tuyuğ. The KOCAELİSPOR fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Şemsettin Tuyuğ should have stopped the shot. 29 minutes into the match, Ömer Demirci notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Corti's Ulisses Souza. Ulisses Souza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ulisses Souza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ömer Demirci in the 33rd minute. Ömer Demirci could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Ulisses Souza made a huge save. After 44 played minutes KOCAELİSPOR got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Delgadillo. Edmílson Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute, Jacinto Pinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ömer Demirci was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Ömer Demirci clashed with another player. He fell to the ground and was in great pain. It was obvious that he couldn't finish the game. Jacinto Pinto charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jacinto Pinto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. KOCAELİSPOR made a substitution. Aşır Zabit replaced Ömer Demirci. In the 51st minute, one of Corti:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Corti. KOCAELİSPOR's Şemsettin Tuyuğ played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Loyola in the 58th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aşır Zabit in the 59th minute of play forced Corti's goalkeeper Ulisses Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ulisses Souza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aşır Zabit, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aykut Nadi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Ulisses Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Corti's Angelo Loyola dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-2. Şemsettin Tuyuğ showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Loyola in the 76th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Aşır Zabit's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ulisses Souza was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. After having played for 78 minutes, Aşır Zabit managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KOCAELİSPOR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aşır Zabit was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 81st minute, Corti's Angelo Loyola dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-3. Ulisses Souza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aşır Zabit went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-3 was the resulting score. Corti's Ulisses Souza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aşır Zabit in the 88th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aşır Zabit in the 89th minute of play forced Corti's goalkeeper Ulisses Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aşır Zabit blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ulisses Souza having to make a save. Corti's Ulisses Souza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aşır Zabit in the 92nd minute of play. In the 96th minute of the game Sidnei Correia made a throw-in which Edmílson Gaspar played forward. In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind Corti's goalkeeper Ulisses Souza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
