Pavel Pranchev made in the 14th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by KOCAELİSPOR's Ediz Tekdoğan. Artur Borubar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ömer Demirci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomas Gartzens short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Şemsettin Tuyuğ to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Şemsettin Tuyuğ showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Erik Wallander in the 21st minute of the match. Pavel Pranchev got a throw-in 24 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Tomas Gartzen. After 27 minutes, Tim Vereeken mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Zhelezna and the KOCAELİSPOR players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Zhelezna's Tim Vereeken got a free kick in the 27th minute. Radko Tetikov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şemsettin Tuyuğ having to interfere. After 37 played minutes FC Zhelezna got a freekick which was hit by Radko Tetikov. In the 40th minute, Önder Ünlü hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42nd minute, Tomas Gartzen made a precise shot to the right of Şemsettin Tuyuğ. KOCAELİSPOR's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Ömer Demirci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 47th minute Ömer Demirci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Borubar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The wind increased when Tomas Gartzen made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Tomas Gartzen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Şemsettin Tuyuğ was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Ediz Tekdoğan kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radko Tetikov in the 59th minute of play forced KOCAELİSPOR's goalkeeper Şemsettin Tuyuğ to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. KOCAELİSPOR's Rafet Hazin was substituted for Ediz Tekdoğan. FC Zhelezna made a substitution. Gilberto Garaile replaced Tomas Gartzen. KOCAELİSPOR's Hami Şahistan was substituted for Fiori Britto. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gilberto Garaile in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Şemsettin Tuyuğ prevented the ball from getting in the gole. FC Zhelezna's Niko Kranjčar was substituted for Tim Vereeken. Aşır Zabit might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Artur Borubar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aşır Zabit ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 77 minutes, Gilberto Garaile managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Zhelezna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilberto Garaile was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A nice corner shot did that Niko Kranjčar got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Şemsettin Tuyuğ quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Radko Tetikov in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Şemsettin Tuyuğ saved KOCAELİSPOR from getting behind. Şemsettin Tuyuğ showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radko Tetikov in the 93rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aşır Zabit in the 96th minute of play forced FC Zhelezna's goalkeeper Artur Borubar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The KOCAELİSPOR players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
