In the 3rd minute of the game Nicolas Salomon made a throw-in which Gabriel-Omar Batista played forward. After a rather tough play, ★Independiente Ψ★'s Israel Manuelo got a free kick in the 5th minute. Herberto Palacios recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 12th minute Jay-Jay Okocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Colon Manrique saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute, Unai Calatayud made a precise shot to the right of Maximiliano Iigo. ★Independiente Ψ★'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 22 minutes into the game, ★Independiente Ψ★'s Gabriel-Omar Batista nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Colon Manrique made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. If Unai Calatayud had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Maximiliano Iigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Unai Calatayud in the 27th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. ★Independiente Ψ★ had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
