Marília AC's Jacinto Loureiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Iigo in the 9th minute of play. Jacinto Loureiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fulgencio Peru's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Marcelo Gagriel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eriberto Lucas in the 15th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Fulgencio Peru left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Xeneizes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Jacinto Loureiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aaron Tiso in the 24th minute of play. In the 47th minute Eriberto Lucas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Gagriel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Xeneizes were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eriberto Lucas made a kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match, Aaron Tiso tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jacinto Loureiro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fulgencio Peru in the 54th minute of play forced Marília AC's goalkeeper Jacinto Loureiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
