Jonas Herz might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Biagio Tolin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The Medoacus Maior fans' excitement grew in the 45th match minute when Medoacus Maior's Miguel Tristan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After the first half Medoacus Maior were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Biagio Tolin came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Zelg FC's Gilles Clerc. But to his dismay, Gilles Clerc quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Sepp Mainville showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Tristan, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. The supporters of Zelg FC booed when Medoacus Maior was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elia Bosco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute Jonas Herz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Biagio Tolin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Medoacus Maior's Miguel Tristan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sepp Mainville narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The corner led Medoacus Maior's Cristiano Leggeri to fire away a dangerous shot which Sepp Mainville despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Zelg FC's Stephan Eichenberger quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Sepp Mainville made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Miguel Tristan sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 81 minutes, Miguel Tristan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Medoacus Maior's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miguel Tristan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Miguel Tristan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sepp Mainville was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. 84 minutes into the match, Zelg FC's goal looked a bit too open when Urtungo Verdejo came free, but Sepp Mainville reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Medoacus Maior's Elia Bosco got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Biagio Tolin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Irwin Monney, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute.
