If Benet Rano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 9 minutes, Benet Rano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VN SOKOLI-VARNA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benet Rano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 11th minute, A.J. Cotton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Golden Hills's Egil Östlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dido Vanev in the 13th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Golden Hills's Orville Hough got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 24th minute, Benet Rano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Egil Östlund was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Dido Vanev's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Egil Östlund read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Dido Vanev had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Egil Östlund. Golden Hills's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dido Vanev was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 35 minutes into the match, VN SOKOLI-VARNA's goal looked a bit too open when Jerold Brownell came free, but Lilko Timov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dido Vanev in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Egil Östlund prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ward Doran could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Lilko Timov made a huge save. In the 44th minute Aktan Sara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egil Östlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Marian Todorov came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the VN SOKOLI-VARNA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marian Todorov couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Nolan Abernathy made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Golden Hills booed when VN SOKOLI-VARNA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Okaner Kornes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 53 minutes into the match, Golden Hills's goalkeeper Egil Östlund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marian Todorov. Afşar Şahan kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marian Todorov in the 70th minute of play forced Golden Hills's goalkeeper Egil Östlund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Avram Octavian got free with Egil Östlund in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 75th minute, Metodi Dutzov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Golden Hills's Egil Östlund got control of the ball when Marian Todorov tried to sneak it across the goal line. Egil Östlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dido Vanev, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. A collision led to Golden Hills getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Bryan Clifford hit a great ball. 87 minutes into the game, Dido Vanev cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Egil Östlund was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 91 minutes into the match, Dido Vanev had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Egil Östlund. Golden Hills's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dido Vanev was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Egil Östlund stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dido Vanev's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. VN SOKOLI-VARNA were awarded a corner in the 95th minute after Golden Hills's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marian Todorov took the corner. VN SOKOLI-VARNA's Marian Todorov was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Egil Östlund in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. VN SOKOLI-VARNA's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
