An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Novaes in the 8th minute of play forced The Tigers's goalkeeper Tim Johnstone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paco Arzola took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tim Johnstone. Tim Johnstone dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 15th minute Bernardo Novaes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Johnstone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute, Bernardo Novaes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lex Academy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Tim Johnstone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo Novaes, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After 24 minutes of play, Lex Academy's Bernardo Novaes made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tim Johnstone was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 27th minute Bernardo Novaes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Johnstone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tim Johnstone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Novaes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute, Bernardo Novaes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tim Johnstone was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Kelvin Atherton's late challenge caught a Lex Academy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kelvin Atherton helped the player get up and apologised. 36 minutes into the game, Bernardo Novaes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Tim Johnstone was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Lex Academy fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Lex Academy's Bernardo Novaes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Tim Johnstone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Novaes in the 42nd minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-6.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bernardo Novaes to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernardo Novaes in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tim Johnstone prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mojmír Houška sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lex Academy made a substitution. Leo Štengl replaced Fausto Castulo. When Lex Academy's Bernardo Novaes in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye The Tigers's goalie prevented a goal. 70 minutes in the game, Bernardo Novaes dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Lex Academy made a substitution. Otmar Schovánek replaced Radomir Wyrostek. In the 79th minute Roman Jursa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Johnstone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernardo Novaes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 85th minute of the match Lex Academy got a corner. The Tigers's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Roman Jursa ran over to the corner to take the kick. 89 minutes into the match, The Tigers's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo Novaes came free, but Tim Johnstone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tim Johnstone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Novaes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tim Johnstone didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bernardo Novaes went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-9 was the resulting score. Genaro Serapio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tim Johnstone having to interfere. The The Tigers fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Lex Academy were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
