The audience was convinced that Bernardo Novaes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tim Johnstone was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.

After 53 minutes of play, Lex Academy's Miloslav Krupička made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tim Johnstone was left in no man's land by his defense there! Stevie Willets hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Lex Academy's Mojmír Houška was substituted for Leoš Dočkal. After 57 played minutes The Tigers got a freekick which was hit by Stevie Willets. In the 58th minute Bernardo Novaes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Johnstone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute Bernardo Novaes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Johnstone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 85 minutes into the game, Isaac Bond threw the ball into play from the sideline. Lex Academy's Paco Arzola quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Tim Johnstone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo Novaes, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Lex Academy's Fausto Castulo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Isaac Bond in the 88 minute of the game.
