Josue Ayala came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by S O B E R A N O CIMZ's Battal Gazi Bey. But to his dismay, Battal Gazi Bey quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Battal Gazi Bey's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Josue Ayala read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Josue Ayala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Battal Gazi Bey in the 20th minute of play. In the 22nd minute Battal Gazi Bey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josue Ayala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 24 minutes Феникс Санкт-Петербург's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ruddi Berendsen who took care of the corner kick. Chicão Rossi made a great header on S O B E R A N O CIMZ's corner, it was just that Феникс Санкт-Петербург's Josue Ayala managed to reach the ball for a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Battal Gazi Bey in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Josue Ayala prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 46th match minute, Феникс Санкт-Петербург was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timur Chichko to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Battal Gazi Bey stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Tudor Sălcudeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amerigo Muzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amerigo Muzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timur Chichko in the 66th minute of the match.
