Samuel Fiúza was a little too slow when Battal Gazi Bey got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. The score was now 2-0. Battal Gazi Bey came free with the goalkeeper in the 35th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Samuel Fiúza could save by the left post. After some careless play in the S O B E R A N O CIMZ defense, Domingos Lencastre kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amerigo Muzi. For all the effort they put into the match, the Gremio Viana players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
