But to his dismay, Aníbal Alagoano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 12 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's goal looked a bit too open when Gilberto Gai came free, but Karl Pilgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Karl Pilgren made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Gilberto Gai sent off a good shot on target. Norbert Grondzki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aníbal Alagoano in the 17th minute of the match. After some careless play in the FusbalClub Swietochlowice defense, Ricardinho Pena kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Norbert Grondzki. The FusbalClub Swietochlowice fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Norbert Grondzki should have stopped the shot. The Jenipapo SC fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Jenipapo SC's Vinicio Junior looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Vinicio Junior might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Norbert Grondzki. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vinicio Junior ran back to his position shaking his head. Norbert Grondzki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardinho Pena, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Norbert Grondzki stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aníbal Alagoano's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. After having played for 35 minutes, Aníbal Alagoano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jenipapo SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aníbal Alagoano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 41 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's goalkeeper Karl Pilgren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gilberto Gai. If Aníbal Alagoano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th match minute, FusbalClub Swietochlowice was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfred Wietrzychowski to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The wind increased when Aníbal Alagoano made the kick off in the second half. Jenipapo SC's Karl Pilgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Owsiak in the 53rd minute of play. Maurício Arósio kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in FusbalClub Swietochlowice's zone, Ricardinho Pena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Norbert Grondzki came out of the goal and Ricardinho Pena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FusbalClub Swietochlowice made a substitution. Igor Glozor replaced Gilberto Gai. Vinicio Junior blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Norbert Grondzki having to make a save. Norbert Grondzki made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Aníbal Alagoano sent off a good shot on target. If Igor Glozor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th match minute, Jenipapo SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurício Arósio to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute Igor Glozor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl Pilgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricardinho Pena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Norbert Grondzki made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Glozor in the 90th minute of play forced Jenipapo SC's goalkeeper Karl Pilgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karl Pilgren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Igor Glozor went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score.
