Iso Gulli had several of the Atlético Cristo Rei's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 4 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Alfredão Bueno as he didn't even see the shot coming. Alfredão Bueno made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iso Gulli in the 7th minute. 10 minutes into the game, Iso Gulli cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Alfredão Bueno was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Francesco Toldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vítor Cunha in the 14th minute of the match. Alfredão Bueno made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iso Gulli in the 16th minute. Iso Gulli blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfredão Bueno having to make a save. After 20 played minutes Porvoon Futura got a freekick which was hit by King Cock. Francesco Toldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joe Kalle in the 25th minute of play. Atlético Cristo Rei's Alfredão Bueno proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Cristo Rei from getting a goal against them. Francesco Toldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Moreno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alfredão Bueno came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Porvoon Futura's Iso Gulli. But to his dismay, Iso Gulli quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Iso Gulli put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Alfredão Bueno. Paavo Hirvonen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Paavo Hirvonen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Porvoon Futura's Francesco Toldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joe Kalle in the 43rd minute of play. After 45 played minutes Atlético Cristo Rei got a freekick which was hit by Cristo Gabas. Alfredão Bueno made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Iso Gulli sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Iso Gulli was the one to do the kick off. Porvoon Futura's Iso Gulli got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Porvoon Futura's Paavo Hirvonen suffered a sore thigh after 60 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 60 minutes, Luan de Castro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlético Cristo Rei and the Porvoon Futura players grew even worse after the yellow card. Porvoon Futura's Vladimir Haritonov was substituted for Paavo Hirvonen. Luan de Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Atlético Cristo Rei's Luan de Castro got a free kick in the 65th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Cristo Rei's zone, Iso Gulli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredão Bueno came out of the goal and Iso Gulli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 73 minutes into the match, Iso Gulli had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfredão Bueno. Atlético Cristo Rei's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Iso Gulli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Vladimir Haritonov blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfredão Bueno having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Cristo Rei's zone, Vladimir Haritonov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredão Bueno came out of the goal and Vladimir Haritonov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
