The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute Boguslaw Makarewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Deyan Tătăruşanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deyan Tătăruşanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boguslaw Makarewicz in the 6th minute of play. A collision led to Carp Team getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. In the 19th match minute, Mestre GG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlando Melo to maneuver through the defense. Remigiusz Paciuszko made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Neil Tutorskiy sent off a good shot on target. 31 minutes into the game, Radomir Šiljak recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Remigiusz Paciuszko. Carp Team's Deyan Tătăruşanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benson Beverley in the 33rd minute of play. Mestre GG's Remigiusz Paciuszko proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Mestre GG from getting a goal against them. 36 minutes into the match, Carp Team's goal looked a bit too open when Boguslaw Makarewicz came free, but Deyan Tătăruşanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th match minute, Mestre GG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nilton Brito to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Boguslaw Makarewicz to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Mestre GG's Benson Beverley slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Deyan Tătăruşanu. That made the score 1-2 after 87 minutes of play. In the 95th minute, Jorginho Garcia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Carp Team supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Mestre GG's performance. The match ended with a win for Mestre GG.
