The audience was convinced that Gustavo-Hernán Egoi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antonio Roma was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Gustavo-Hernán Egoi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Antonio Roma having to make a save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's Generoso Gonzalez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apolo Lauaxeta in the 51st minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Igor Kaczeniak notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's Generoso Gonzalez. Generoso Gonzalez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 59th minute, Igor Kaczeniak ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Generoso Gonzalez was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Saturno's Antonio Roma proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Saturno from getting a goal against them. 76 minutes into the match, Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Kaczeniak came free, but Generoso Gonzalez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Orlando Rexino kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Saturno made a substitution. Gert Gronden replaced Emanuel Timo. A collision led to Saturno getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Orlando Rexino hit a great ball. Bengt-Arne Åberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Antonio Roma read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's Generoso Gonzalez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Kaczeniak in the 88th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Adolfo Quintana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Saturno fully deserved thier win.
