Sten Andreasson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquin Loredo in the 18th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, The Reds's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquin Loredo came free, but Sten Andreasson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, The Reds's Johnny Lange got a free kick in the 23rd minute. 27 minutes into the match, The Reds's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Oñatibia came free, but Sten Andreasson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute, Ricart Iturburu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Oñatibia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urki Miras in the 39th minute of play forced The Reds's goalkeeper Sten Andreasson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute, Urki Miras left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ornopata fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 44 minutes into the match, Ornopata's goal looked a bit too open when Johnny Lange came free, but Xan Descapa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Reds's Sten Andreasson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save The Reds from getting a goal against them. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Ornopata made a substitution. Pipo Inzaghi replaced Urki Miras. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joaquin Loredo made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Yerko Entrena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sten Andreasson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pipo Inzaghi, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. The Reds's Sten Andreasson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pipo Inzaghi in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Daniel Oñatibia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Stig-Arne Mellbad from long distance, 61 minutes into the match, got Xan Descapa's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 64th minute Joaquin Loredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sten Andreasson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 68 minutes, Joaquin Loredo made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. The Reds's Sten Andreasson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Sten Andreasson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquin Loredo in the 95th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ornopata fully deserved thier win.
