Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jurij Štencl in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roger Federer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. KP Chemik Police's Roger Federer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luciano Cuenca in the 17th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in KP Chemik Police's zone, Godfredo Barroso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roger Federer came out of the goal and Godfredo Barroso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 20th minute Luciano Cuenca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Federer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 21 played minutes KP Chemik Police got a freekick which was hit by Zygmunt Pawlik. In the 22nd minute, Radek Rokos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raimundo Larra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Raimundo Larra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luciano Cuenca in the 31st minute of play forced KP Chemik Police's goalkeeper Roger Federer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute of the match AFC Cherries got a corner. KP Chemik Police's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luciano Cuenca ran over to the corner to take the kick. A collision led to KP Chemik Police getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Bernard Bobrowski hit a great ball. AFC Cherries's Jurij Štencl got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roger Federer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luciano Cuenca, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Luciano Cuenca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Federer having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The wind increased when Raimundo Larra made the kick off in the second half. Jurij Štencl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Roger Federer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. KP Chemik Police's Aleksander Ptaszek was substituted for Edward Nowakowski. In the 60th match minute, KP Chemik Police was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafal Huratiak to maneuver through the defense. Roger Federer was out of position in the 61 minute of play, and Jurij Štencl capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jurij Štencl really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. Roger Federer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jurij Štencl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jurij Štencl showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3.
