The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Social y Dep. Patagonia's goal looked a bit too open when Jockel Theilen came free, but Tobias Faro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 5th minute FC Hamburg were awarded a corner. Roland Olivier went to the cornerflag to take it. Eduard Hilpert kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 10thth minute of the game Enrique Prata who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Social y Dep. Patagonia's Tobias Faro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Social y Dep. Patagonia were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after FC Hamburg's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Enzo Pes took the corner. After taking down the ball on Social y Dep. Patagonia's corner Enzo Pes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Alban Bolesta quite easily take care of the ball. Anier Terciero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alban Bolesta having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Eduard Hilpert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Renato Mac Clure received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Alban Bolesta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Hamburg's Jockel Theilen got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alban Bolesta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Renato Mac Clure's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Enrique Prata in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tobias Faro saved Social y Dep. Patagonia from getting behind. FC Hamburg's Alban Bolesta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renato Mac Clure in the 34th minute of play. Angelo Grabs hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 43rd match minute, Social y Dep. Patagonia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgilio Gartzen to maneuver through the defense. A sloppy throw-in by Sergio Bartoleme in the 46th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC Hamburg's Angelo Grabs. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Renato Mac Clure made a kick off. Alban Bolesta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renato Mac Clure, who was totally free with the ball in the 50th minute. 59 minutes into the game, Eduard Hilpert was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Hamburg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Social y Dep. Patagonia the free kick. In the 59th minute, Eduard Hilpert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st minute, Enzo Pes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tobias Faro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Prata, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Enrique Prata took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tobias Faro. Tobias Faro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Enrique Prata put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Tobias Faro. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Renato Mac Clure managed to get in a good position for a shot. Social y Dep. Patagonia's supporters rose to their feet, but Renato Mac Clure was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alban Bolesta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alban Bolesta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renato Mac Clure in the 77th minute of play. In the 79th match minute, Social y Dep. Patagonia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enzo Pes to maneuver through the defense. 80 minutes into the game, Enrique Prata recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tobias Faro. Enrique Prata showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Renato Mac Clure in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alban Bolesta saved FC Hamburg from getting behind. Alban Bolesta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renato Mac Clure in the 90th minute of the match. A throw-in in the 91st minute of the game was made by Rupert Rose with Ingolf Appenzeller as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Hamburg eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
