Red Bull Magnus's Cláudio Bittencourt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Red Bull Magnus from getting a goal against them. In the 44th minute Richard Hefter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inocencio Veronica saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cláudio Bittencourt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bass Dost fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inocencio Veronica having to interfere. In the 73rd match minute, Rafaela FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ubaldo Lluis to maneuver through the defense. 77 minutes into the match, Rafaela FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bass Dost came free, but Inocencio Veronica reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th minute Rolando Jax shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cláudio Bittencourt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th minute of the match Rafaela FC got a corner. Red Bull Magnus's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Leonides Tajo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Emílio Pernambucano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Inocencio Veronica made a huge save. Bass Dost fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inocencio Veronica having to interfere. Red Bull Magnus's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
