Mauricio Guillelmus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filiph Biörling in the 14th minute of the match. When Grêmio FBPA's Filiph Biörling in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Leones Futbol Club's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lázaro Berdoi in the 17th managed to get into a good position. Pipis Karapatakis scored 1-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mauricio Guillelmus, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 23 minutes into the match, Grêmio FBPA's goalkeeper Jardel Sanches had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lázaro Berdoi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ted Hoogenkamp in the 24th minute of play forced Leones Futbol Club's goalkeeper Mauricio Guillelmus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th match minute, Leones Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dennis Andreozzi to maneuver through the defense. 28 minutes into the match, Diamantino Cabral notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Leones Futbol Club's Mauricio Guillelmus. Mauricio Guillelmus was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jardel Sanches made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eustacio Amaya in the 31st minute. 34 minutes into the match, Leones Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Filiph Biörling came free, but Mauricio Guillelmus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mauricio Guillelmus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filiph Biörling, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. In the 42nd match minute, Leones Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benigno Arias to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute, Cirilo Micael hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Filiph Biörling sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lázaro Berdoi's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jardel Sanches firmly grabbed it by the left post. Leones Futbol Club were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after Grêmio FBPA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dennis Andreozzi took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Dennis Andreozzi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jardel Sanches quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Filiph Biörling stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Lázaro Berdoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jardel Sanches saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute Ted Hoogenkamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauricio Guillelmus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Diamantino Cabral's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mauricio Guillelmus was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Mauricio Guillelmus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pipis Karapatakis in the 63rd minute of the match. Jardel Sanches came out of the goal and Lázaro Berdoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 86 played minutes Grêmio FBPA got a freekick which was hit by Ted Hoogenkamp. When Ted Hoogenkamp came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Grêmio FBPA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ted Hoogenkamp couldn't finish the play. Nicolás Tagliafico kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Grêmio FBPA's Filiph Biörling took a good shot, in the 91st minute, which hit the crossbar above Mauricio Guillelmus's head, and flew over the goal. Leones Futbol Club's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Grêmio FBPA. Alvaro Oxel hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. After having played for 95 minutes, Lázaro Berdoi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leones Futbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lázaro Berdoi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Grêmio FBPA players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
