The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Giacinto Facchetti during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 12 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Viper FC! When the match had been going on for 13 minutes, S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Johannes Kruuse got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Parampal Paracuellos. Fırat Aytekin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Vieri's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. In the 22nd minute, Cristian Vieri left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Viper FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Viper FC's goalkeeper Parampal Paracuellos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to S.C. Corinthians Paulista getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Cléberson Paraense hit a great ball. Fırat Aytekin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Mancini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 33rd minute of the game. One of Viper FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of S.C. Corinthians Paulista:s goal. Cléberson Paraense was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristian Vieri was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Roberto Mancini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fırat Aytekin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 54 minutes, Johannes Kruuse managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's supporters crossed their fingers, but Johannes Kruuse was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Corinthians Paulista's corner, it was just that Viper FC's Parampal Paracuellos managed to reach the ball for a save. Viper FC's Ferdinando Di Loreto was substituted for Alessandro Altobelli. S.C. Fırat Aytekin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferdinando Di Loreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Ferdinando Di Loreto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fırat Aytekin was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. Fırat Aytekin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ferdinando Di Loreto went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-3 was the resulting score. S.C. Corinthians Paulista were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Viper FC for a fine match.
