The corner led Olímpico Blumenau FC's Isaltino Siqueira to fire away a dangerous shot which Eugenio Alvaredo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a rather tough play, Olímpico Blumenau FC's Gildo Aguiar got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 24th match minute, Vicente Leon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xandro Inestrosa to maneuver through the defense. After 25 minutes, Válbson Ferraz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Olímpico Blumenau FC and the Vicente Leon players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eugenio Alvaredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Paulo Penha in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Urbano Batalle to strike the kick off in the second half. Eugenio Alvaredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gildo Aguiar, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Zé Carlos Alves took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Eugenio Alvaredo to make any attempt to save it. Urbano Batalle's late challenge caught a Olímpico Blumenau FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Urbano Batalle helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Vicente Leon's Urbano Batalle got a free kick in the 57th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zé Carlos Alves in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eugenio Alvaredo saved Vicente Leon from getting behind. In the 60th match minute, Vicente Leon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipe Acebal to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute Luís Paulo Penha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugenio Alvaredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gildo Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zé Carlos Alves received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Eugenio Alvaredo came out and tried to block the shot, but Zé Carlos Alves slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 68th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Vicente Leon's goalkeeper Eugenio Alvaredo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Válbson Ferraz. Olímpico Blumenau FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
